Kijk Review, Swatch YGS4000 WANDELING

Kijk naar wat ik opgehaald bij mijn favoriete antieke winkel. Meestal doe ik niet gaan voor quartz horloges, maar deze gewoon tot mij sprak. Het is een Swatch YGS4000 WANDELING, oorspronkelijk uitgebracht voor de Fall / Winter collectie in 1995 .

Zoals u kunt zien, het is een zeer unieke zoek horloge. Het uur markers zijn allemaal verschillende lettertypes, kleuren, en willekeurig afwisselen tussen Arabische en Romeinse cijfers. De wijzerplaat is een geborsteld zilver motief, en ik ben sucker voor zilver gekozen horloges. De handen uren en minuten en zijn eenvoudig, zwart, stokken. De tweede hand is een gedurfde rode. De bezel is gepolijst met Monster 4 maal herhalen met stippen 12, 3, 6 en 9:00. De kroon is getipt met een rode, plastic dop, die de tweede hand en markers wedstrijden op de wijzerplaat. De enige complicatie is de datum functie. Ik hou van de humoristische dag van de week indicator, Today.

De behuizing is van aluminium en zeer licht van gewicht. Ik hou echt van hoe gemakkelijk het is om de batterij te vervangen. Alles wat je nodig hebt is een muntstuk om pop openen van de batterij luik. De behuizing is ook een tweedelige constructie, waarbij de beweging laden vanaf de voorkant van de wijzerplaat. Een stuk minder lek paden en pakkingen. Ik denk dat alle Swatch horloges zijn 50m of een betere waterbestendigheid. Het geval is keramisch gestraald, met uitzondering van de ring, die wordt gepolijst.

De band is een echt Swatch leer, origineel, met hagedis graan. De sluiting is ook aluminium en ondertekend met Swatch. Het is zeer buigzaam en comfortabel om te dragen.
Kortom, het is een zeer praktische, stijlvol en comfortabel horloge. Je merkt het nauwelijks op je pols, vooral na een aantal van de zware automaten die ik gewoonlijk draagt. Het is mijn eerste en enige Swatch, maar nu begrijp ik waarom ze waren en zijn nog steeds vrij populair. Het ontwerp is zeer uniek en de bouwkwaliteit is zeer goed, met een ETA quartz uurwerk binnen. Mijn enige klacht is dat de tweede hand is vrij ver van de tweede markers. Het is een kleine aanmerking, maar ik zou beter van verwacht. Mijn Seiko van 1990 raakt de merken elke keer, maar niet dit Swiss made kwarts uit 1995. Ik ben erg blij met mijn aankoop, en ik ben zeker dat het zal worden gedragen zowat elke keer als ik uit te oefenen, te wijten aan de super licht van gewicht.

Casio & silicon deployment

My last post featured a Casio model I dubbed a holiday watch that wasn't and in the post I mentioned that fitting a replacement strap such as a NATO one would be very difficult owing to the space between the spring bars and the case being too neat. My second choice however is the silicon deployment fold-over strap and I noted that IF I was able to fit one I'd post the images here.

5 Minutes with a craft knife and in my opinion a much better fit than standard.

The actual strap size of more accurately the spring bar gap in the lugs is 18mm, but an 18mm silicon strap does not do the watch justice. You will note that the original Casio strap is not 18mm either, but nearer 20mm and suits the overall look just fine.
SO I took an 20mm strap and carefully (with a craft knife) reduced it at the pin area either side to allow for the lugs and to enable fitting to the 18mm gap. The wider strap sets of the watch really well – and here is the result.

Another upside I think is the much neater wrist fit as the flexibility and flat profile of this strap holds the watch closer to the wrist and it doesn't move, at all. I find that most strap with buckles and especially rubber/resin ones do move the watch around the wrist as if strapped on too tightly the “divers” wave profile on the strap can dig in to the wrist and can become quite uncomfortable. This alternative completely eliminates any problem.
In fact this was so successful, I may have a look in my watch boxes and see if there are others that could benefit from this treatment – also as these straps are only £7 to £9 approximately, it's not a daft idea! bekijk meer nep rolex en chopard imperiale

The Big Bang Brings Hublot and Ferari Together
